While They Build Communication and Presentation Skills
Ohana Schools incorporate the Ohana Learning Series educational program to supplement the Common Core Standards approved by the State of California. This program has been reviewed by the California Department of Education, and utilized in public schools and private after school programs in Orange County. Ohana Schools support the use of current curriculum with new and creative ways to engage students and reinforce the lessons that they have in place by connecting existing curriculum to each students family history and the experiences and accomplishments of their ancestors.
Students Discover How Their Ancestors May Have Lived During An Important Historical Period and Connect With Other Aspects of Their History Lessons.
Lessons Include Family Learning, Research, Composition and Help Students to Build Presentation Skills. Ultimately, students gain college and career readiness through this supplementary program.
